AT THE FREEDOM new year festival
ENGLISH.- At the Freedom Festival, we firmly believe that music and entertainment can coexist in harmony with the environment. As a festival committed to sustainability, we have implemented various initiatives to minimize our ecological impact and promote responsible practices among both the organizers and our attendees.
Our Sustainable Initiatives
- Waste Reduction:
We will place accessible recycling points at Plaza del Yumbo to facilitate waste separation and recycling. We invite all attendees to use these containers and reduce the use of single-use plastics. Additionally, our bars will feature the «Freedom Festival & Absolut official cup,» made from recycled and reusable plastic. When you finish your drink, you can either order another by returning the used cup or request a refund of the deposit with the sole aim of minimizing waste after the event. - Use of Renewable Energy:
Whenever possible, we utilize renewable energy sources to power the festival facilities. Our goal is to reduce the event’s carbon footprint and, in the long term, become a festival with a neutral environmental impact. - Support for Local and Sustainable Suppliers:
At Freedom Festival Maspalomas 2024, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. That’s why we have chosen Aqualy as the official water of the event. Its carton packaging, made from renewable materials, significantly reduces environmental impact compared to traditional formats.
By opting for plastic-free packaging, we also contribute to waste reduction and promote more responsible consumption. Together, we are moving towards a more eco-friendly and conscious festival.
- Awareness and Education:
During the festival, our presenters will promote awareness of environmental issues. We aim to inspire our community to adopt more sustainable practices in their daily lives.

How You Can Contribute
- Choose Sustainable Transportation:
If possible, carpool, use public transportation, or ride a bicycle to the festival. This will help reduce carbon emissions and alleviate congestion on access roads. - Keep Your Reusable Cup:
We encourage you to keep the Reusable Freedom Cup that you receive with your first drink purchase at our bars. We will exchange it for another cup with your next drink to avoid using single-use plastic cups. - Be Responsible with Your Waste:
Use the available recycling points and, if possible, take any waste generated with you to dispose of it properly.
Future Commitment

SOSTENIBILIDAD EN EL FREEDOM FESTIVAL
ESPAÑOL.- En el Freedom Festival, creemos firmemente que la música y el entretenimiento pueden coexistir en armonía con el medio ambiente. Como un festival comprometido con la sostenibilidad, hemos implementado diversas iniciativas para minimizar nuestro impacto ecológico y promover prácticas responsables tanto entre los organizadores como entre nuestros asistentes.
Nuestras Iniciativas Sostenibles
1. Reducción de Residuos:
Vamos a colocar puntos de reciclaje accesibles en la Plaza del Yumbo para facilitar la separación y el reciclaje de residuos. Invitamos a todos los asistentes a utilizar estos contenedores y a reducir el uso de plásticos de un solo uso. Además, contaremos en nuestras barras de bar con el “vaso oficial de Freedom Festival & Absolut” de plástico reciclado y reutilizables. Cuando hayas finalizado tu bebida puedes pedir otra entregando el vaso utilizado o bien solicitar la devolución de la fianza con el único objetivo de minimizar los residuos tras el evento.
2. Uso de Energía Renovable:
Siempre que sea posible, utilizamos fuentes de energía renovable para alimentar las instalaciones del festival. Nuestro objetivo es reducir la huella de carbono del evento y, a largo plazo, convertirnos en un festival con impacto neutral en el medio ambiente.
3. Apoyo a Proveedores Locales y Sustentables:
En el Freedom Festival Maspalomas 2024, reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la reducción de la huella de carbono. Por ello, hemos elegido a Aqualy como el agua oficial del evento. Sus envases de cartón, elaborados con materiales renovables, disminuyen significativamente el impacto ambiental en comparación con los formatos tradicionales. Además, al optar por envases libres de plástico, contribuimos a la reducción de residuos y promovemos un consumo más responsable. Juntos, avanzamos hacia un festival más ecológico y consciente.
4. Concienciación y Educación:
Durante el festival, nuestros presentadores promoverán la conciencia sobre temas medioambientales. Queremos inspirar a nuestra comunidad a adoptar prácticas más sostenibles en su vida diaria.
Cómo Puedes Contribuir
– Opta por el Transporte Sostenible:
Si puedes, comparte coche, utiliza el transporte público o ven en bicicleta al festival. Ayudarás a reducir las emisiones de carbono y a descongestionar las vías de acceso.
– Guarda tu Vaso Reutilizable:
Te animamos a que guardes el Vaso Reutilizable de Freedom que te entregaremos con la primera bebida que compres en nuestras barras. Te lo cambiaremos por otro vaso en tu siguiente bebida para evitar usar vasos de plástico de un solo uso.
– Sé Responsable con tus Residuos:
Utiliza los puntos de reciclaje disponibles y, si es posible, lleva contigo los residuos generados para disponer de ellos adecuadamente.
